Youth-Led Nonprofit, Gen-Z for Change, Embarks on Tour to Texas and Florida to Mobilize Gen-Z Voters

Gen-Z for Change kicks off its “Battle for the Blue” tour on September 23, 2022, in Austin, Texas, and will continue to Florida on October 14, 2022.

In preparation for the 2022 midterm elections, Gen-Z organizers will visit battleground states across the country to meet with and document interviews with voters, and progressive and Democratic candidates in an effort to mobilize Gen-Z to vote. Meetings include Rochelle Garza, Mike Collier, Celia Israel, Zo Qadri, Charlie Christ, and Anna Eskamani.

Formerly known as TikTok for Biden, Gen-Z for Change uses the collective power of social media to move hundreds of thousands of people to take down whistleblower tiplines, urge their representatives to pass climate legislation, and promote progressive policy changes from the top down.

Several well-known Gen-Z for Change influencers and organizers will participate in the tour — including Director of Politics & Government Affairs, and a prominent Texas reproductive rights advocate, Olivia Julianna. Julianna went viral on Twitter and raised more than $2 million dollars for abortion funds when Rep. Matt Gaetz attacked her for speaking out about reproductive rights in the wake of the Supreme Court’s recent decision. Also on tour is Gen-Z for Change strategist and LGBTQ+ influencer, Jack Petocz and Deputy Executive Director of Gen-Z for Change and content creator, Victoria Hammett.

To follow the tour online, follow Gen-Z for Change on TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram. All tour content will be posted with the hashtag #BattleForTheBlue.

Olivia and Jack will be available for interviews at certain points throughout this tour. Please email press@genzforchange.org to schedule a time.
